Today, July 14th is International Non-Binary Day of Visibility. It’s an important day to me. It’s an inclusive day to reflect how this ties parts of people back to the whole they deserve to be. It opens hope back toward being whom we are.
That “whom we are” is knowing what’s always been, and when it’s found doesn’t matter, that it’s found matters. There can be relief, a connecting of wires crossed for decades, of taking forks in the road to oneself, some can be this relief. Being, to acknowledge self, love oneself, to blend all that I am, to that acknowledge self love, self esteem and be accepted as I am, is an affirmation founded in the ideal of self actualization.
“Self-actualization” represents a concept derived from Humanistic psychological theory and, specifically, from the theory created by Abraham Maslow. Self-actualization, according to Maslow, represents growth of an individual toward fulfillment of the highest needs; those for meaning in life, in particular.Aug 13, 2013
My love for inclusivity has been here on Dkos, and other for many years. Robyn showed me many things, and again, I say I miss her blog; and hope she’s well?
I’ve wanted to write this for some time, and today, being my day, is the right day.
